The public sector

Dutch public bodies must comply with EN 301 549 and publish an accessibility statement (toegankelijkheidsverklaring) for each of their websites and apps.

Businesses and the EAA

Businesses offering consumers services covered by the EAA — e-commerce, banking, transport, telecommunications — have had to make them accessible since 28 June 2025.

This page outlines the main points of the applicable framework. It does not constitute legal advice: the texts and how they are applied may change.
